MEGAN JANKORD, MA, LMFT
I strive to create a therapeutic space that is both collaborative and without judgment for all clients. Treatment is informed and guided by Narrative, Polyvagal, CBT, and Mindfulness approaches. I enjoy working with premarital, established, or distressed couples, co-parents, blended families, young adults, and children. I have experience supporting clients through life transitions, anxiety, depression, bipolar, autism, and crisis. I am also a certified Prepare and Enrich facilitator for couples and have been trained in EMDR/BLSR.
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and obtained my Master of Arts degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota. My Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology was completed through the University of Minnesota. Clinical experience in Graduate School and beyond included supporting family members and individuals in crisis, and those seeking change and supportive services. I gained valuable and impactful experience working with families involved with CPS and the foster care system. Additionally, I have experienced reunifying parents with their children after long periods of separation (due to incarceration, absence, contention in the family system, etc).
My personal interests include cooking, gardening, and traveling. I also enjoy spending time outside with my family and our pets. I strive to be open-minded and am willing to learn from those around me, including my clients.
